What a blessing to photograph this wonderful couple!

This is Andy and Amy.   Spectacular people.  With hearts full of love for each other and the Lord.   What a combo!    I had approached them earlier when they got engaged to see if they would need some pics- and I would love to do them as a gift, no charge.   They agreed, and so I was AMAZINGLY blessed for Amy, a graphic designer, has such brilliant taste.  We were thinking alike on lighting and poses.  They were so natural with each other. I hardly had to do a thing but snap those pics.  Truly, I think this was the BEST shoot I have personally ever done.    I give God the glory for it.    It blessed my heart when I needed it and I pray it blessed theirs.

These are some of my favs.   Enjoy!

Choose Joy, a review

Ever wonder why some people seem to experience joy in their daily lives--even in the tough times--and others can't seem to find it no matter how hard they search? Is a joy-filled life really possible? The answer is yes! And it's possible for every woman, no matter what her circumstances may be. In this inspiring book, Kay Warren teaches women what joy really is, where to find it, and how to choose it in the good times and the bad. With compassion and wisdom, she shows readers--even those who live with the constant companions of discouragement and depression--that true joy is deeper, richer, and more accessible than they might think. Perfect for small groups or individual reading, Choose Joy will empower women who feel like their emotions and well-being are at the mercy of others by helping them understand the life-giving truth that joy is within their grasp--every day.

Kay Warren digs deep into the real attitude of joy.  Its essence is Jesus, how he lives.  What we need to do is see the truth in his nature, his very being.   I felt the tug of my heart to hold on closer to Him, to his goodness, despite the pain I go through myself.   Joy has always seemed just beyond reach to me, the every constant kind of joy.  That is something I want, completely to experience with my entire mind and soul. How Kay allows herself to be transparent is refreshing, and meaningful. Her life has not been all peachy. She is honest, and thorough with her readers. She is imaginative and raw at the same time, and that helped me to see her gift to us- a sweet, honest way to help bring us to find the Joy that comes from the Lord. Her points are powerful. I gave my copy to my soul-searching neighbor, who has gone through some difficult, painful things in her life. I was confident that some of Kay Warren's words will speak to my neighbor's heart. I pray the Lord uses Kay's book in her life as a tool to drive her directly to the Lord. Thank you, Kay, for such an inspiring testimony and study! Thank you to Baker Publishing for the copy of the book in return for my honest review.
