First week of 2012!

We accomplished an entire week of homeschool.

Only 35 more weeks to go!

the famous owl pellet dissection!

here is our Friday plan- a poetry book each Friday and accompanying questions, vocab, and poetry writing and drawing!

We accomplished quite a bit.  From learning about weather tools and layers of the atmosphere to watercolor practice to Abigail Adams to poetry writing.   Oh, and, of course, dissecting an owl pellet. I am proud of what we accomplished...

*setting up a pretty good schedule

*everything I planned we GOT DONE! (from Bible, math, literature, reading, history, science, art, more reading, English, writing, and more!)

*daily devotions

*increasing work ethic (though this was difficult, more for Philip)

*kids understanding my expectations

What we need to work on...

*bed time and wake up

*obedience

*Poor WD- he kinda gets "forgotten," AKA "mommy forgets and doesn't know how to include him when she's teaching the two bigs and it's frustrating so she enrolled him in preschool which will start in september thank goodness so he won't be bored and tied to the tv and show watching!" aghhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

*sibling dynamics

*mommy's schedule- goodness, I have the hardest time waking up EARLIER to get my walk and shower in.  I'm frustrated that doesn't happen until after noon sometimes!

Ella's favorite part of the week was the art...playing in the watercolor book.   I have yet to ask Philip's favorite part...I will guess it was when we were all done. LOL.

My favorite part was my hard work being useful. Seriously. Homeschooling is hard work. It's frustrating to see it wasted but this week my hardwork was not wasted.   Whew.
